Mouse Cottage is in an ideal location, close to Southwold’s bustling high street and just a short stroll from the sandy beach. It sits on East Street amongst a row of colourful cottages, along with a handful of local shops and The Lord Nelson public house. The historic little cottage has had many uses over the years, including a gentleman’s hairdressers in the 1930s and a tea and snack bar serving light refreshments in the 1950s. This charming pet-friendly cottage is the perfect holiday choice for extended families or friends looking to enjoy a break together.

The sitting room and dining area are a cosy space for guests to gather together, whether it’s during meal times or sinking into the sofas to watch television after a busy day out sightseeing. There are French doors leading into a pretty courtyard garden, filled with colourful flowers. The kitchen is equipped with a Range cooker as well as a fully stocked walk in larder, ideal for self-catering preparation for your guests.

There are four lovely bedrooms to suit your holiday needs and out of season a family of four can hire two bedrooms. There is one family bathroom with separate WC on the first floor and a handy shower room on the ground floor.

We love the distant sea views on offer from the master bedroom and the vibrant, sheltered garden. The cottage is roomy and beautifully laid out with everything you could possibly need for a cosy holiday.

GROUND FLOOR

Sitting/Dining Area: 2 comfy sofas with a matching armchair, Freeview TV and DVD player, Small wooden dining table with 4 chairs, French doors to garden.

Conservatory

Kitchen: Gas Range cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and a luxurious walk-in larder with fridge freezer.

Shower Room with shower, washbasin and WC (please be aware this room can be used but is awaiting renovation.)

Garden: Beautiful enclosed walled courtyard garden with pretty flowers.

FIRST FLOOR

Master Bedroom: King size bed with bedside drawers and single day bed.

Bedroom 2: Double bed, washbasin.

Bedroom 3: This bedroom is configured as a single trundle bedroom, if preferred the trundle can be used to create either a second single bed or a king size bed (please note as a king size bed there is some restriction on floor space.)

Bathroom: Compact bath with over-bath shower and washbasin.

One medium size dog is welcome on the ground floor only.

The property has gas central heating.

There is no parking with the property, however long-term parking can be found along The Common, just a 5-minute walk away.
